I’m Mariah Pratt Bonkowski, a Licensed Master of Social Work (LMSW) with a diverse background in social work and nonprofit management. I hold a Bachelor’s in Political Science, a Master’s in Management focusing on Nonprofits, and a Master’s in Social Work.

I specialize in working with adolescents, young adults, couples, families, and youth in foster care, with a particular emphasis on first-generation individuals, immigrants, and the LGBTQIA+ community. My integrative therapeutic approach combines Trauma-Focused Care with evidence-based practices such as Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), Trauma-Focused CBT (TF-CBT), Trauma Systems Therapy (TST), and Collaborative Problem Solving (CPS). I also utilize Family Connections methods, including Trauma Adapted Family Connections, to effectively support families.

My goal is to create a supportive and empathetic space where you feel understood and empowered. Together, we will set and pursue your mental health goals, tailoring our sessions to meet your unique needs and challenges.

I am also the founder of Parts of Peace, a nonprofit organization committed to increasing access to basic hygiene necessities. My work has been recognized with the Open Society Institute Fellowship, the Warnock Foundation Fellowship, and has been featured in the Baltimore Sun.

As a Baltimore native and an alum of AmeriCorps and Public Allies, community service is central to my life. Outside of work, I enjoy Reese's candy, scrolling on TikTok, and spending time with my family.
