Our Approach
“Self-care is giving the world the best of you, instead of what’s left of you.”
— Katie Reed
We are not a traditional mental health agency!
We are social workers, professional counselors, post-graduates, and community leaders. We are also family members, parents (and pet parents), students, and hobbyists. The strength of our collective lies in the balance of these important roles and identities.
Burnout and compassion fatigue are very real occupational hazards in helping professions such as counseling. Our clinicians are not held to scheduling or appointment requirements, which means we choose how much and when to work based on our unique needs. This model helps us be present for you while also taking care of ourselves.
When reaching out, you can expect to be paired with a specific clinician whose training addresses your needs (rather than who is next on the list). If we can’t help, our commitment to you is finding someone who can through our referral network. By reducing access barriers to mental health treatment, people get more opportunities to heal and the whole community benefits.
